TAN CARE
Pre Tan Instructions
Prep for the Perfect Spray Tan
For a smooth, even, and long-lasting glow, shower and exfoliate your entire body the day before your spray tan. Pay extra attention to dry areas like elbows, knees, and ankles to ensure flawless application and optimal absorption.
Pro Tip: Use an oil-free exfoliator or dry brush for the best results!
Hair Removal & Spray Tan Prep
If you choose to remove hair, do so at least 24–48 hours before your spray tan to avoid irritation and ensure an even application. This step is completely optional but can help achieve a smoother, more flawless result.
Pro Tip: Shaving or waxing too close to your appointment may leave pores open, which can affect how the tan develops.
Arrive with Clean, Product-Free Skin
For the best spray tan results, come to your appointment with completely clean skin—free of makeup, lotions, deodorant, and perfumes. These products can create a barrier that affects how your tan develops, so a fresh, product-free canvas is key!
Wear Loose, Dark Clothing to Your Appointment
For the most comfortable experience, opt for loose, dark clothing when coming to your spray tan session. Soft, oversized pieces like sweatpants, loose t-shirts, or cozy sweaters are perfect to prevent smudging and ensure your tan develops evenly.
Sunless tips
Stay Hydrated Before Your Appointment
For a radiant, long-lasting glow, drink plenty of water before your spray tan appointment. Hydrated skin absorbs tanning solution more evenly, helping you achieve a smoother, more natural-looking tan.
Avoid Dove Products for a Longer-Lasting Tan
Skip Dove products before and after your spray tan—their formulas can strip away your tan and cause uneven fading. Opt for sulfate-free, pH-balanced body washes to maintain your glow.
Tip: Cerave and Aveeno products are the best products to use.
Avoid Cream or Oil-Based Exfoliants
For the best spray tan results, steer clear of cream or oil-based exfoliating products. These can leave a residue on your skin, creating a barrier that prevents the tanning solution from developing evenly. Instead, use an oil-free exfoliator for a smooth, tan-ready surface.
Moisturize Dry Areas for an Even Tan
If you have dry elbows, knees, or rough skin patches, apply a light layer of moisturizer before your spray tan appointment. This will help create a smoother, more even application and ensure your tan develops evenly across your entire body.
Post Tan Instructions
Avoid Water During Processing Time
While your tan is developing, it's important to keep your skin completely dry. This means avoiding activities that may cause sweating or exposure to water, such as working out, getting caught in the rain, or spilling liquids.
Do not rinse off until the recommended processing time has passed for optimal results.
Be Gentle with Your Skin Post-Tan
After your spray tan, it's important to treat your skin with care. Avoid products containing exfoliating ingredients like glycolic acid or alcohol, as they can strip away your tan and cause it to fade prematurely.
Tip: Opt for gentle, hydrating products to keep your glow intact.
Keep Your Skin Hydrated for the Best Tan
To maintain your glowing spray tan, make sure to moisturize daily and drink plenty of water. Keeping your skin hydrated is the secret to longer-lasting, more vibrant results. The more moisture you lock in, the better your tan will look.
